Paul held a series of demonstrations to launch the UK's first energy centre to help rural customers not on the national grid - he used a series of gas barbecue displays featuring chocolate to launch the new facility on Alphinbrook Road, on Exeter's Marsh Barton estate.
The centre is a pilot for Calor Gas and a first for any rural energy supplier. Mick Ward, from Calor's Exeter Energy Centre, urged customers to utilise centre staff, who he said can offer "really useful and practical advice on how to run the energy in your home in the most efficient way possible."
